HEY I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT MY BEADIE? OK OUR HEAT IS BROKEN WERE WAITING ON THE COMPANY TO GET OUT HERE AND THEY WONT BE HERE TILL MON! ITS AT NIGHT ABOUT 60 IN HERE! MY HUBBY KEEPS TELLING ME TO TURN THE LIGHTS OFF AT NIGHT BUT IM SCARED IT WILL GET TOO COLD! SHOULD I TURN THEM OFF OR LEAVE THEM ON ALL NIGHT THAT WAY I KNOW HE’S NOT TOO COLD? THE TEMPS IN MY WATER DRAGONS IS FINE. JUST THE BEARDIE AND THE SNAKES ARE WHAT IM WORRIED ABOUT! |

Aw..what a cute little girl! Love the pic. :) Kimmie..I wouldn’t worry to much about the heat. My house gets to around 60-62 at night, and my beardie does alright. I do have a red bulb, but I don’t think it keeps it that warm. I’m trying to get the new cage finished so I won’t have as hard of time keeping the temps where they should be..as long as it dosen’t drop below 60, I wouldn’t worry too much. |

Fivel- Sounds Gross about your gecko eating his shed, but I still want to see. Well Miami is getting cool. This morning I woke up freezing, and I got worried and turned on all of the lights. It was 70 degrees. Is that Ok or is it too cold for WD? I usually try for it not to go below 70..whada ya think |

but anyway whats the deal with heat glo infrared bulbs... they suck so bad they burn out in about 2 weeks. i was so mad when my second one blew out, i put a regular bulb in the clamp fixture, but i cant leave it on, since it keeps Lee awake, so it drops to about 65 by morning, im a lil worried so i been leaving the heat on in the house when im sleepin but people keep complaining.... i think i might go CHE... is there anything i can do about getting my cash back on those darned reds? i hate spending $7 on them just fo them to last 2 weeks... on a side note, i been trying to get god pics of Lee’s hot pink chin, since its glowing nicely, but my cam is really blurry when its not on flash, and it shows as a big white blotch when its on... maybe i can do a closeup setting on my cam and it would work... wellp tried the landscape setting and it turned out nicely, though i cant seem to get his chin in a good shot, ill keep trying, and you’ll know when i got it anyway, work tomorow morning, and im tired, need a shower.... -Jessie |

i forgot to mentiojn yesterday that a BIG shipment came in from fluker farms for me, 1 thousand 3/8th’s crix and 1 thousand mealies, so far no casualties, but lots of shedding, smells so bad, prolly will never get used to that smell, i get woosy when i open their 10 gal, i bought specifically for them. the worms i have in a huge coffee can with oatmeal and a hlf potatoe sliced up in discs, so far no casualties there either, but i managed to put a few into a seperate keeper without refrigeration so they’ll turn into the beatles for breeding capabilities and a snack for Lee every so often. he absolutely loves those things! though i usually only give him about 2 a week, since i dont want to risk impaction... anyway... today as a bit weird. my gramps came over to gimme some mail, and wanted to see how big Lee was getting, so i brought him out. my pops was lookin at him for a sec, and then he crapped all over my hand, i was so mad!! i set him on the table and wiped the crap off me, and Lee took off down the hall, i watched him run off, and he went and hid behind his tank! when i got to him, he was all stressed and nearly black lookin, so i carefully placed him in the tank. i proceded to wash my hands about 100 times... lol... when i got back into my room he was green again... weird, never usually goes green to black to green so quickly, he must have been scared that i was gunna hurt him for pooin on me, i dunno... weirdest day ever.... -Jessie |
