plexi is cheap at lowes, it was 15 bucks for the sheet i bought. i also bought some 3 foot dowel peices (oak, since the only other kind they had was pine!) so he could climb long loglike "branches" ill prolly add a vine to wrap around each of them to aid them, as they have no grooves or anything. i guess i feel a little better, she talked to me a little bit, but almost confirmed i have no chance with her. i have a hard tme breaking things to ppl about my feelings, so i still havent told her how i feel about her... ill let her sort her thoughts out, but i guess i aint losing anything, since shes still my friend. oh, and this is the girl who stole my heart.. i have to show you what taunts my soul... |

and one question, should i put some kinda box in there so he can hide in? i only use specially placed vines and such in his current to make a jungle like cavern, but nothing solid, will he like it? and does anyone else use cardboard boxes for WD hides? i seen monitors and snakes with box hides, but nothing else... oh and i think soon after i set up the new tank, il be using the old one for another reptile!!! w00t! my mom started looking at reptile pics, and i think she likes beardies! but i think i want some anoles. since i can have 1 for every 10 gallons of space, so that makes about 5... but il hafta get all females, kuz i dont want babies, and no teritorial fighting... and also if i get anoles, ill be using soil and live plants for the enclosure, so i can have more lush habitation. ugh even though im feeling creative, i still have that heartache... oh and something i forgot to mention, shes also contemplating going back to her snoopin BF.... i gotta make my move before this happens. what a life o mine and even further into the jumbled forum post that is my life... my boss told me hes firing the pompus idiot asst. manager we all call "webon" (spanish for lazy), so im getting al his hours, stacked on mine. so that means ill be working 13 hour days at least 5 days a week. maybe 6.... but hey, its cash. ill be making about 4 times my current bi-weekly, but hopefully i get a raise too. i start manager training tomorow... what a day thats gunna be |

Morq- sorry to hear about you and Joe but you posted a few posts back that you were unhappy with him.. and had things packed so i guess things worked out for the best??? make sure you keep all the reptiles!!! dont let him have the wd as it sounds like you are their basic caretaker.. and Sorry again! eat a pint of ben and jerry that ususally helps! Aw- must be nice to have an hubby you never see.. me and joey dont fight too much and when we do it is things over the house too like clean up the bedroom blah blah... did you find a dog yet??? Fivel- guess you and jamie are getting better... thats good to hear... what is ski boarding anyways.. i live for wakeboarding but that is an summer sport.. Finners- Did you pick an girls name yet??? I was thinking of Bailee the other day.. or even Baylee.. i like unquie names.. i dont like the common names that is why i loved Micah when i heard it first.. or even Ryley for an boy.. KIMMIE- so Briley hasnt been born yet?? sounds like the baby is taking her/his ( cant remember sorry) time to get here!!!! |

Also, I thought it would be easier, but it isnt (the breakup) maybe you realize things when it happens.. I didnt get much sleep last night and felt nausiated for the most part. Im gonna go talk with him today.. maybe things like this have a way of changing people.. im not sure how much he cares though, it seems to be what he wanted, guess we will see. |

Yes shes very lucky and hopefully hubby will be able to make her stop!!! I just cant stand it after watching my momma in law like that! I used to smoke and quit and never willl do it again. But luckily I only smoked like 3 years. ANd it was cuz of other things and other probs. My hubby would literally kill me if I did smoke again! ok going to bed now! was cleaning house all day! except going to pet store to get baby mice to feed wd! found out previous owner did and thats why hes not eating cricks hes used to mice! *sniff sniff* I dont like it!@ I haveto leave the house! bUt they are still my babies! hubby jsut has to take care of the "dirty job"! ewwwww!!!!!! |

anyway AW, lol you made me blush...hehe, oh and lowes can cut you a plexiglass sheet from $15 to like $50, but depends on how big you want it, mine was $15, and its pretty big, bigger than all the glass sizes they had. bt seriously i feel flattered about that comment anyway, imma go shower, i just got off work THANK GOD PEOPLE PICS IS BACK!!!! WATER LOVING WONDERS I developed a passion for wd’s in 1995 when i first saw a gorgeous green lizard with bright golden-brown eyes staring back at me through it’s tank in a local pet store. I had kept many other reptile and amphibian species in the past, but never lizards. Little did i know that upon setting eyes on that bright green creature that it would become the start of what appears to be a life-long love of the green water dragon. Chinese water dragons were starting to become popular in the pet trade at that time, but it wasn’t as easy to find qaulity care infromation in 1995 as it is today. Over the past decade, I have researched the care of Physignathus cocincinus by reading books, exchanging information with thousands of water dragon owners and through my own trial and error. Stores that sell reptiles often carry Chinese Water Dragons, also known as the Green Water Dragon or Asian Water Dragon. They originate from the southeast asian mainland-thailand, Southern China, Vietnam and Cambodia. Many of these lizards are still imported from their countries of origin for the pet trade, but over the years there has been an increase in captive breeding by private owners and reptile-related business throughout North America and Europe. Try to find a captive-bred Asian WD when considering a purchase, as your new lizard will likely be healthier and less stressed than it’s wild caught or imported counterpart. Given optimal care, Green WD’s can live up to 16 years. I have found them to be extremely pleasent to care for. They are beautiful to observe given their attractive bright green color, and once they are used to your presence, they are generally tame and easily handled. While they occasionally fight among themselves or compete for siuperiority with cagemates, they are rarely aggresive toward human keepers. If frightened, they might give you an open-mouthe threat, which they rarely follow through on, or a light tail whip when picked up. If scared, they may turn dark or try to hide behind a plant or in their water. REAL LOOKERS Hatchlingas are 1 inch snout to vent, and 5 to 6 inches in total lenght. The upper surface of their body are a brownish green, while a pale green to white covers their lower abdominal area. Light-colored stripoes of white or beige run vertically on either side of the body, and a brown and green banded tail, very large eyes and short snout make up th8e rest of their features, after growing to approximately 10 inches, and after shedding their skin a few times, the upper body becomes a bright green, ranging from aqua to mint green. Adult males grow to approximately 3 feet in length; adult females measure approximately 2 feet. The tail is laterally flattened, banded brown and green, ends in a fine point and makes up to 70 to 75 percent of their length. Water Dragons use their t5ales for balance and leverage when climbing, and they can use them to whip would be attackers, predators or keepers. Adu;t water dragons are, of , green, ranging from dark forest green to a light mint green. The lower body is generally white or a very light yellow, while the vertical stripes that run along the sides of the WD’s body are a pale green, mint green, aqua or even turquise in color. The throats of juvenile and adult WD’s can also be quite colorful, ranging from a very pale yellow, orange, peach, bright pink, fuchsia or even dark purple. the head is triangular, and a male’s will become quite large and wide. Large , rounded, white scales run just below the mouth and end end in one or two larger pointed scales where the head and neck meet. A dark stripe runs from the lowere corner of the eye and toward the ear. The tongue is thick and wide, and ends in a very small fork. It has a sticky surface that helps to catch and hold prey. Water Dragon teeth are small and pointed-the better to eat an omnivorous diet- and can drw blood if a dragon were to bite it’s keeper. luckily, most dragons are even-tempered and rarely bite.
