Actually the northern part of ohio is flat for the most part (where I live) but the southern part of ohio is pretty hilly and have some of the foothills of a mountain range. Ohio actually has some pretty scenery...like Hocking hills. Its beautiful down there. They have great trails to go on too.

Oregon you say huh... hmm, I’ve heard quite a few things about that place... for one its too rainy for me, 2 I heard there is alot of goth peoples that live there (dont know if its true), 3 I heard alot of gay people live there too (im not a homophobe either by the way) and 4, I heard alot of its haunted.... I guess because of Salem... Correct me if im wrong on any of it.
I heard Vail’s mountains have already opened up, or was my sources wrong? (Skiing)
Say what you wish about Minnesota, cause I wasnt born here and it wasnt my idea to move here LOL... I was born in New Hampshire and lived in Florida most of my younger childhood years, now that was the greatest... never seeing snow and then BAM! The first year we lived in Minnesota we had a halloween blizzard and got 4 ft of snow in the area I lived in... I was the little mermaid, and I remember I cried because I couldnt wear my costume, because the mermaid fins made it so I couldnt walk very well, let alone in 4ft of snow! Plus I only went to like 3 houses cuz it was TOO darn cold for me! Im used to 90 degree weather... now I love the 4 seasons... and I love winter now, thanks to my snowmobile and skiboarding... anyways im just going on and on and on and on.... so I will keep this short and sweet...

OK OK morquinn. I will update your rumors on Oregon.
#1 Yes the coast is rainy But from the mountains over it isn’t. I live in central Oregon which is called the High Desert. We don’t get a lot of rain where I live. We do get a good amount of snow. You can drive 45mins one way and be in the middle of the desert drive 45mins the other and be at Mt. Bachelor ski resort.
#2 Portland has a lot of goth losers but not where I live. but really goth people are just depressed. But i would be Depressed if I lived in Portland too. or anywhere in the valley for that matter.
#3 Not really any gay people. I mean sure we are all happy. All the gay people live in San Fransisco.
#4 I Don’t know about the whole haunted thing. I have never seen a ghost but maybe you should talk to the goth people about that one..

Ok so here is a ? for you. If you don’t talk like the people in Fargo then do you talk like Canadians? A

Sweet that Vail is already opened up. I love it there. I haven’t heard either way on Vail open or not but I think I will be driving through there in the next week or so.
I have to drive to North Carolina in the next week or so. It will be the 15th time or so that I have drove across the US.

Noo hahaha... Canadians talk like the people in the movie "Fargo" Not us... maybe extreme northern Minnesota, but not here in Central Minnesota, or anywhere for that matter...we talk like everyone else basically. Im guessing you have watched that movie? They actually based it around the city I live in... ironically. We WERE once known to have the largest statue of Paul Bunyun and Babe the Blue ox at a local theme park, but it moved into the country aways and was replaced by a Kohls.. dont know if you have those stores there.
Ahh yes, Portland, thats where I heard about the Goths... and yes they probably do know about hauntings... they probably make em up on their weegie boards... noo, I cant really bash goth people, although everyone thinks they are goth nowadays... I talked to a supposed "True Goth" and Goth is more of a frame of mind, than a person dressed up in black clothing, with pale white faces and black lipstick and nail polish... I used to be one of those people, although I didnt wear black lipstick, thats for sure, although I didnt consider myself goth... just a pure metal head. I still am, but I have toned down quite a bit, because noone takes anyone like that seriously around here. We have many, trust me.
How long does it take to drive to NC from OR? Do you drive by yourself, or are there other people with you? We drove from Florida up to Minnesota, I dont remember much of it, but im guessing we went through alot of states. I havent left this state... well actually I went to the border of Wisconsin a few years ago, but other than that, I havent been to other states and actually seen anything, besides Canada... im kind of a homebody, I get homesick pretty easily.. its always nice to be in a place familiar.

Hey morquinn..some of my husband’s family lives in Minnesota and none of them talk like Candians either...So it must be more northern. I can’t remember where they live, but I know its the more southern part of Minnesota.
Oh and I think there are Khols everywhere now...lol. They are in every large city around where I live. I have 2 within 20 min of me.

I can think of one reason why I wouldn’t want to live in central oregon......NO OCEAN!!! I’ve lived all my life on one coast or another and when I lived in arkansas for three months I almost went goth from depression! sorry I love the big bodies of water I.E. an ocean. But I love central oregon almost as much. Do you do much rock climbing???? I love it! but it worries the crap out of my mom cause I’ve developed an obsession with bouldering. (climbing "small" faces without a safety line) Iono it just feels more real. I like the fact that bouldering you only have one choice and that’s to finish the climb. But I have always been an adrenaline junkie. You name it I’ve done it or something similar. OHH and fivel, caring for the rattlesnake was an interesting expierience. The snake was so bautiful that I had to keep reminding myself that the bugger would kill me if it had the chance. bummed me out cause I wanted to handle the guy like I handle my dragons. And as for him rattling all the time only when I had to clean out his enclosure

FIVEL- I live about 20 - 30 min from Birmingham. Pell City! It sucks! I grew up here going to Pell city High School and I lived in Moody. What kind of sighn?

And the goth thing.... I gradutaed in 98- sooo long ago LOL! anyways then it was freak and I was voted most unique and I would still be that way but kids kinda calm all that down. You have to set n example for your kids where they willbe taken seriously in school. LOL>>> Yeay right! I was just joking by the way! My son come home and asked for a blue mohawk! And he just turned 7 on the 9th! I’m not like that anymore! Im pretty normal I guess. But it was funny! And he’s serious too!! He cried because his school wont let him do it!!! LOL! I love the ocean too. I would live by the ocean if I could. My husbands business keeps him still , he will own it one day! So Im stuck here. But the ocean was at one time my life! I wanted to go to college for that and just do nothing but study the Ocean and everything in it! It was my life!

Oh man you guys crack me up. I just don’t know why.
Ok morquinn I have heard and seen some oakie things in my life but I think the Being known for the the largest Paul Bunyun and Babe statue is probably the most entertaining. But you know one thing is that we don’t have any Kohl’s over here. That is totally a east coast thing. oh and Metal head huh. I had you totally pegged for a sophisticated, highly educated your whole life type of girl. So am I wrong or do you have a secret Identity? And as far as driving across the US. It is a long 3.5 to 4 days of driving. We travel with about 20 or so people. 4 new superduties (ford f350’s). with 5 per truck. We try to go different routes each time but I have seen most of it over and over. And if you are such a homebody then a trip to Vail will be good for ya.

Insayn88> Yeah i have never been into rock climbing. I saw he aftermath of a lady that fell when i was little. She was slammed against the rocks over and over. It was a gut wrenching sight. There were a lot of red rocks that day. Now I did live on the ocean for about 3 yrs and I ended up back here. as far as depressed in Arkansas. Man I get depressed driving through it. I don’t know how anyone could live there. Ok so now on to the snake. What kind of rattler is it? and about what size?

wow Kimmiehp> so your telling me you live near the greatest motorcycle museums in the world. See I can find a happy thing in every place (almost). I love the Barber Motorsports track. That place was awesome. But your bare assed man on the top of the hill. The vegan or whatever he is. Ya there is a great view of Birmingham from up there.
Well you see about 2-3 hrs west of Birmingham there is a hwy that runs down to Mobile. It is Hwy 69. I just thought the sign was way cool. and one of a kind. I have a huge sign collection.

So since no one else will post cool pics here is another work pic. I don’t have a name for it yet so I am open for ideas.

Oh yeah the Vulcan! Yeah they just did a whole bunch of repairs on his bozo LITERALLY! anyways ok I’m retarded I thot you said 269. Ok if I ever see a sign of it I’ll let ya know! I have never been that way tho. I have lived here 25 yrs and have never really gone anywhere untill I was in HS in the band(danceline) and got to go to Florida for the 1st time. Got to go 4 times and Disney 3 times. When I got married my Hubby took me to the beach for 2nd time. I worked all the time and raised my nephew(his parents were on alot drugs) and I could not let my mom do it by herself. So I have only been to, Georgia, Tennesse, Florida(Pannama and Pensacola) and thats it! Sad life! I know! But he and my school to get into a good college came first! Thank god they starigntened up cuz I have 2 of my own now! Anyways yeah we have that and Talledega and I love both! My neice and Nephew are trying to get into racing dirt bikes and they might be doing their little league there! I’m soooo excited! I cant wait!!!!Patrick Dempsy from Greys Anatomy was there at Barbers not too long ago with his racing team!!! I missed it! ANd hate myself for it!!!! I never went to Vulcan until I was 15. my mom never took me anywhere but six flags! So I was facinated by it! Everybody raised money to fix him. He was falling apart. BAD! yeah he’s pretty cool. I guess after you sayiong all that Ican appreciate it all a LITTLE bit more! Sorry I will talk and talk when I get started! Because I never get too! The house is quiet FOR ONCE! and i just got started and i don’t rememebr what I said! Mybe it was the rum who knows!?

Oh geez Fivel- Im far far away from being sophisticated, highly educated no... I am smart on things I want to be smart at, but yeah, im still quite the metal head, and love going to concerts and playing guitar... dont let the childish, girly looks fool you. People say I have too innocent of a face... yeah well, I still get carded at rated R movies, so that could be the reason why people would think of me differently. I’ve never worn a dress since I can remember, and the only time I will wear one is on my wedding day. I did buy a skirt this past summer (for my boyfriend lol) and I felt so uncomfortable in it... it was wierd. Anyways, im starting to tone down now, my hair is actually a natural looking color, but I still like wearing band t-shirts, painting my nails black or dark purple (which is now the "it" thing in hollywood, thank you very much) and drinking beer... Mmm beer. Anyways, but yes, if I wanted to, I could be a number 1 stunner... I just dont care what people think of me, and if they dont like it, than so be it.
Oh yeah and we are also known for having the "black hole" in one of our lakes that was all over the news for ever, because that part never froze on the lake, and they thought it was like... volcanic or something, I dont know lol...
But we do have the largest ice fishing tournament in the states, with $100,000 in prizes and first place takes home a brand new truck each year... funny thing is, every year the winner only reels in like a 3lb fish, and I sit here and catch 5-6lb bass all year round... never caught anything icefishing yet though.. I guess having 10+ thousand people on the lake at one time would scare the fish LOL.. anyways yes, im rambling on.. I have to steam clean (shampoo) our carpeting today, yippie!

Well morquinn it’s one of those things. Everybody has there own perception of people. Well it is raining here today just like it did yesterday. Our mountains got snow lastnight and right now though. Hey I know a lot about the whole baby face thing though. I get carded all the time and yes I do get carded for buying R movies.

Yo kimmmiehp> I thought Birmingham was ok to visit but I don’t think that I could ever live there. So you have been to Pensacola also. I love that place. When Hurricane Ivan came through there a few years back. I was down there cleaning up for a month. I have been there many times though. There are some scary backwoods people in NW Alabama though.

Hey insayn> We have Western Diamonds here. That sounds like a good size one though. I killed one in a campground once that was as big around as a coffee cup and about 5 ft long. He was pretty neat from a distance. We only kill them when they are way to close to people. When I was down in Texas We had all kinds of run-ins with poisonous snakes. I’ not a huge fan of cottonmouths, copperheads, water moccasins. The pigmy rattlers were pretty cool though.

Oh I know! sacrry and just plain crazy or stupid. We don’t have too many people we talk to. Just family members and we try not too much with them! LOL! ANyways we just stay to ourselves but with my kids involvesd in sports and stuff I get to really see how bad it is. We have to trvel to away games with Football and we get to see alot. I actually got scared one time they didn’t look they were right if u get what I mean. Threatening to slit the refs throat and stuff Pretty carzy people down here! Backwoods rednecks!
