It ranges on the type of wood you use, whether you use plexi glass or real glass... I dont think anyone can really give you an estimate unless you plan on using their exact idea/setup... most of these people built these enclosures, they werent purchased.

Absolutely beautiful enclosures everyone (and thanks for some new ideas...whoohoo!)

Here�s Sprites, it�s a 4� high x 4� tall x 2� deep melamine enclosure with a sliding plexi-glass front. I use an extra large kitty litter dish for her water area, substrate is organic soil/peat moss and repti-bark combo. She absolutely loves her rock & the big branch (and LOVES giving me heart attacks by jumping from them into her water dish!)

And here�s Oscar�s, we still have to decorate it more, but he�s enjoying it thus far!

We are running to the store today (hopefully) to get some more greenery and a new water area (the aluminum tray is temporary) so once we�re finished sprucing it up, I�ll get more pictures. And a few more of Oscar, since he�s shedding like a maddragon right now, lol.

OMG!

I just found something else I want. I had no idea how cool Water Dragons were. I have a bearded dragon that I�m building an enclosure for - looking at all these enclosures and the dragons.

I want one - I want one!

Time to do research - I won�t get one now (of course - would be stupid to) But I�m definitely going to start building a cage - there are so many ideas from each of you that I would like to incorporate.

I will start a new post.......I have so many questions - I will read through some first then post what wasn�t mentioned or what I couldn�t find.

Most of the posts made here are questions you wouldnt normally find answers to on tricias site... so please check that out first.

Hi John,

In Sprites tank, they�re all fake plants other than the tree, which for all intents and purposes (and to annoy me) they call a "house tree" - I got it at Ace Hardware, it doesn�t get too big & they can climb all over it without destroying it.

Oscars tank IS all fake (with the slight exception of the moss on the rocks, that�s real). He WILL destroy anything live, though he might get a "house tree" in the future...I think it looks OK as is though.

I got the plants either at the dollar store or AC Moore, I like the silk kind, it resist some serious trampling and holds the humidity up well. the "drapey" kind are more like a flexible plastic.

Finally I�m able to post mine here with the others.... We made it out of an antique armoire. It has drains to the outside of the house and half is water, half land.
