Savannah Monitor size to age ratio?

like the post above said, the lizard is only as lazy as we let it, we can choose to sit the food in a bowl or we can choose to move the food around in its cage or in your house and make it chase it down, there was a very good post on here before and ive seen the video on youtube, where its a guy exercising his lizard as in taking a mouse and tongs and moving it around letting the lziard chase it, getting it to climb stuff and then jumping back down to get it, its almost like teasing a dog but its the only excersize your lizard gets unless you live in arizona and walk your monitor around on a leash, the only way to have a healthy lizard is to monitor whatever you feed it, you can feed it vertibraes or inverts in the end it just depends on how much food you let it have and how much excersize you give it, it also depends on husbandry but the deffinition of husbandry is vast really, not everyday in the savannah is the same, so just because your a couple of degrees off doesnt make it wrong, or if humidity isnt exact its not going to kill the monitor, just my opinion.

give it as much room as possible and monitor its weight, and as long as the basking site is over 115F and you got a cooler end with some hides making sure the monitor can choose its own temp your perfectly fine, it really isnt rocket science ive only had a monitor for a week now and ive been reading the posts around here for a day now and i can see a lot of bickering over little stuff, and that 99% of the information on here is basically the same(minus the few random idiots)

Savannah Monitor size to age ratio?

For anyone who is still watching this post, she has shed like 3 times in the last month! shes on fire! she is huge now, well not huge but much bigger then she was, i just started a roach colony for her.

She is getting much bigger!

Hers her cage, its an old picture, now she has two heat lamps one is a MVB, and i put in a higher basking log, cause the hut just wasn’t cutting it, and I added a few more things, and now she has a bigger water dish.

its the 180 and its split in two, the right is her and the left is my bearded dragon,

when she gets bigger, she will get the whole tank and i have a 90 for the beardie.

Ill post another picture of her soon, im at work right now so i will have to do it later.

Thanks for all the help and advice guys!

I am still learning the best husbandry for my monitor and I am admittedly not an expert but I think the size of his monitor for its age, though a little small, isn’t anything to be worried about. I would advise basking temp a little higher but otherwise seems his husbandry is pretty good. I think that was what he was asking.
correct me if im wrong

yeah so much arguing inbetween time of post and me reading it i forgot what the post was even about, his husbandry is ok besides his basking point which the poster above noticed, raise it a bit and your pretty much good its only when thier larger and you have a 150 cubic cage for it you have to watch your husbandry really well because its harder to mantain
