Wow! I came on here because I am worried that the adult female we just bought from someone is pregnant. She ate very well at first, but now is off her food, digging, restless, black beard (still haven’t researched that yet-have a lot to learn) head-bobbing, (again, ignorant) and acting like she wants out all the time. She is also "shimmying" backwards. She is very fat compared to the "sympathy purchase" we made with her, for the other beardie the lady had was pathetic and skinny. (A different scenario entirely)
We weren’t prepared for two, and had, in fact, set up for a baby dragon which we purchased from the pet store. It made it three days, and I think that 4 inches and two weeks old is way too young to be shipped and sold to a pet store. Soooo the large breeder tank went with the beardie, and the lady assumed we’d buy both. She said there were four adults in the tank before, she had only had the skinny one for a month, and that she’d fatten up. So, they are together for now and getting along quite well. (They skinny one is now head-bobbing and has a very black beard. (What’s up with that?)
I’m out of funds right at the moment, so can’t take either to the vet, but my daughter has patiently offered food to the skinny one, and after bathing him in warm water, he (or she) has finally had a bowel movement (was difficult for him) and is now eating very well on his own.
The lady said (because I called her back) that yes, there is a chance the larger one is pregnant, and she would take her to a vet for me, but I am distrustful of getting her back.
Any advice would be helpful. We are feeding greens (although I just read that lettuce-no, not iceberg- is not all that healthy-more bad advice from her) crickets and superworms.

I think I know this one. First feel the bottom of her belly and if you feel marbles then she is prego. If she is and you can’t take care of them ask your local pet store if they can. They usually will cause they can sell the babies and it will all be profit for them. The one thing you will need is a large Rubbermaid bin like for moving and fill it 1/2 with damp play sand but don’t make it sopping wet. As for a skinny one and a fat one it could be a territorial thing and one is getting more food than the other. Dragons are very nervous around other dragons. They should be housed separately when they are adults. Try moving one out and see if "skinny" beefs up at all. I hope I helped with this one. Also as for the babies and care. Read the second phrase in this thread and it will tell you how to manage the eggs.

Somebody please answer!! URGENT!!! Okay for the nesting box, i sort of need a picture I dont really understand what I am supposed to do with the light. ANd what kind of light and what wattage. I need help my female is going crazy its been like two weeks since she was humped and she is digging what do I do?
