 Water snake overpopulation- Michigan

I have a small pond with way to many northern water snakes. I had none last year and now they own the sunny shore. I am not bothered by them, however, I know that they hibernate with the michigan rattler. Will having the presence of the northern water increase the likelyhood of rattlers? If anyone wants them come catch them, it is definitly interesting how they all follow the biggest one all over the pond.

Not sure if Rattlesnakes will hang out with water snakes other than during hibernation in dens. Catching them sounds fun but they have been known to be very aggressive and will bite readily if handled. Recommend gloves for people who really want to catch one. Sounds like it’s breeding season for the water snakes around your area. The males usually smaller than the females.
