if i get eggs, should i incubate them in vermiculite or moss and at the normal temp. reptile eggs are usually incubated at(83 degrees) or different?

cool pics.is the second pic a newborn?
2 problems though- i would put it 1/2 land 1/2 water. they should never spend all of their lives in water or they will get water blisters and other problems.you will see they will like it more if you put it 1/2 water and 1/2 land. i just get a big tupperware as a water "bowl" and they like it.
the other problem is the turtle. i read alot about water snakes eating small turtles or vise versa. that would be a great cage for your 3 lined musk turtle, it’s just one or the other will eat each other eventually or transfer parasites to one another, if they already haven’t.so seperate them asap!

ps- you can put some of your pics up too ratsnake.

well i had them in a half and half and they were always in the water i would even go and look in the cage at 12:00 1:00 and they were still in the water. The turtle has been in there sense it was a baby and they don’t mess with each other.....the stores you read were most likely people the did not feed there snakes as much as needed so the would eat the turtles. The turtle is small so he could not eat them and he is always fat so he would never bite them. When i get a wild snake or any reptile i always look and treat any parasites they might have.

can they burrow in the substrate? that may be why they don’t often go on land.
