Well yeah I know very well it is a southern water snake (Nerodia fasciata) :DD But southern water snake has three SUBspecies: Nerodia fasciata fasciata (Banded water snake), Nerodia fasciata confluens (Broad-banded water snake) and Nerodia fasciata pictiventris (Florida water snake).

Yes, I think her mom is a normal banded water snake. But check out the picture of her father, does it look like a broad-banded, or banded? (or maybe florida?). The breeder of this snake and I think itís a broad-banded ws but Iím not sure.

So you mean her father (Link) is a normal Banded water snake (Nerodia fasciata fasciata) too? So itís not a Broad-banded water (Nerodia faciata confluens) snake as I first thought it looks like?

If so, my snake isnít a hybrid. :o

Are you even trying to unerstand? :P

I know that broad-banded water snakes are not hybrids. What I ment by saying "If so, my snake isnít a hybrid" (My snake = the picture you can see in this site, the parents are not mine) was that if the father is broad-banded water snake and the mother is banded water snake, my snake is a hybrid. But if the both of parents are banded water snakes, my snake isnít a hybrid.

Just because they are called broad-banded doesnt mean the bands are extremely broad...iv seen normal bandeds with large bands as well
