Stressed water dragon need help fast 
| i have a baby chinese water dragon that’s about 8 inches long. i have him in a 20 gallon tank, with a branch to climb on and this thing that has a log on the bottom and leaves coming out, i have bark chips on the bottom, a basking light, a uvb/uva bulb and a pie tin for water. my dragon is always brown but is head is green and along the bottom of him is green Any suggestions on how i can make it better so he will turn green? |

Hey there!!! No worries friend. All baby water dragons are like that. They are darker so that they can have better camoflage on the ground. In a few months he should start getting color on his back. Usually, they will get greener once they have shed for the first time. If he gets real dark, almost black then thats when you know something is wrong. Here is a pic of Rocky. One of my Water Dragons. He is very healthy. He is about 3 months old and about 6-7 inches long total length. He hasn’t shed yet either. Anyway, hope this helps.

| well mine is very dark (greyish) i posted asking if he might be sick but no one replyed he has also been hiding alot and a small section of his skin is peeling |

craigy i think that your water dragon is very stressed maybe your temps and humidity is wrong you might want to eaither boost it or lower the heat. and you should never keep a baby water dragon in any tank smaller than a 40 gallon at least |
