I just bought my water dragon from a person who no longer had time for him. After the third day I noticed him making a croaking sound and he looked like he was choking for a bit. On the sixth day I took him to the vet! She said it was most likely he had a respiratory infection, gave him a shot of antibiotics, oral amoxicillin for daily doses at home and carnivore care food to be mixed with water and feed twice daily. He has been eating, or at least it appears he is, his "baby food " really well and this is day 2 of at home antibiotics. He has now become lethargic and appears to sleep most of the time moving very little in his 125 gal aquarium. His enclosure is 80° and the humidity runs between 50% and 80% depending on how long it has been since I misted. He is making a clicking sound when he swallows and I can feel the click when holding him....we go back to the vet tomorrow because I am real concerned. What else should I be doing and is there any hope?!?
