A visit to the Vet’s or not ?

Hi My male wd has had a dodgy mouth for a while it seems clean but it doesn’t want to heal. He’s forever chewing shiny things and has a particular fondness or hate of our fire harth. He eats well and is fine in himself
what do you think should I take him to the vets If so what do you think they can do ?

it looks okay to me. its not going to regenerate the missing chunks. you should use a diluted betadine (tea color) mixture to disinfect it once a week to make sure it doesn’t get irritated.

the shiny stuff is what all dragons go for - you have to be careful and dragon proof the free roam area otherwise they will swallow anything shiny.

your welcome.

it is like having a baby in the house!! i found a rock that one of mine swallowed in the pool. i remember someone saying that their dragon swallowed a lapel pin. luckily, the dragon passed it okay.

That was lucky my male even tried to eat his heat bulb luckily it wasn’t hot
I’m thinking about adding some small fish to his water but i’m not sure which ones they can eat, I know it’s feeder guppies but is ther any other kind and how can I tell that the fish don’t have parasites or anything ?

one person has minnows. maybe there is something you could get to clean out the fish of parasites before you put them into the pool? surely, there is some kind of product they sell for that.
