Water Dragon Plantation soil in eye!

I went to play with my Water dragon and a thin little piece of the plantation soil was sticking out of his bottom part of his eye, when i went in to flick it off he closed his eyes and it went under his lid, well it make its way out like naturally like a human eye would or should I do something to help it?

Poor baby! You will def want to flush his eye with some saline wash. Just put some in a little squirt bottle and try to flood his eye with it.

His eye still looks normal, so it must of made its way out. I don’t know I’ve been told 3 different things and sand was one but that was about 3 days till I changed it to the soil, its the coco soil not the chunky stuff. Repti carpet I heard is bad cause when the lizard goes to catch a cricket he might miss and bite the carpet get this teeth stuck and he would be squirming there for hours till you find him and help him. So I don’t know what else is out there?

REAL soil is what is out there. You can use ordinary, additive-free soil from a garden supply store or dug up in a pesticide-free area. If you are worried about "bad" bugs, you can bake it in an oven at 350°F for 15-30 minutes.

Real soil does not stick everywhere as badly as coconut fiber does and thus does not get into the eyes so easily. I have always used soil and, even when my dragons dig, they have never gotten any of it in their eyes.
