 Wd not digging yet

Hi I’ve got a pair of wd’s the female is about 24 inches minus a bit of tail and 2 and a half years old, my male is about 26 inches and about 18 months old. I have never seen my female dig, she has a lay box.
They both have very pink lips . This is a sign of sexual maturity isn’t it ?
They have been acting a bit strangely lately he’s calmed down a bit and she’s got a lot more active but still no signs of mating, eggs or digging .
I suppose what I want to know is are they old enough and big enough ? And can I do anything to help them with their romance LOL .

Is the male captive bred? Do you know his age for certain? He is big for 18 months.

Hi thanks for replying
I got him from a pet shop in January this year he was about 16 inches if I remember correctly I think he was captive bread, Although he has always been mad and quite un-handle able

the red lips is not a sign of maturity but of snout rubbing, which is not good. the important measurement is from snout to vent. that’s how y our able to tell how old they are. not from snout to the end of the tail because a tail can break off.

My Wd has been digging in the substrate but its only 13 inches from snout to tail. i dont think its gravid what could this mean do i need a bigger cage?

Minya, by "pink lips" I am quite certain that Manics mum meant the pink color along the sides dragons’ jaws. You are right - it is not a sign of maturity; but it is not from snout rubbing either.
