Humidity is the amount of water vapor in the air. It can be any temp. When there is alot of humidity in the air and it is hot outside, it feels super hot! And when there is alot of humidity and it is cold, it is verrry cold, almost bone chilling.

Warmer air has more thermal energy than cooler air; thus more water molecules can evaporate and stay in the air in a vapour state rather than a liquid state. This may be why people say that warmer air "holds" more moisture — in warmer air, there is more energy for more water molecules to hold themselves in the air (and overcome hydrogen bonds which seek to pull water molecules together).

We use ultrasonic humidifiers to add humidity to the viv, b/c the ultrasonic ones deter mold, bacteria and other nasty growth. Warm air ones are the worst offenders, don’t use these. I suppose cool mist ones would be ok, but not as good as the ultrasonic ones.

LMAO!! Haha!! I know this (as I’m sure others do too, lol) from personal experience!!!!! In OK our humidity averages somewhere around 55% all year, something like that, needless to say it’s very humid, all the time. And it’s also really hot in the summer and really cold in the winter, so we got the 104-110 degree summers that feel like 115-120 and all sticky, can barely breathe sometimes. And the we got the 34-18 degree winters that make you feel the cold in your bones!!!!!!!!! because of all the humidity!!!!!! Ah, us Okies just can’t win for losing!!! LOL!! J/K!!

Sorry just had to add that!! LOL!! Cloud’s description definately deserves that award!!!
