That’s what I thought. :) But I’m not so sure about the babies. I can’t care for the eggs. Unless I give them to the place where I got my wd’s from.

The other thing is Harriett has never laid eggs before.. So I don’t even know if she can.

If they were going to breed does anyone know the age that they start? Just so I know when to look for stuff to happen, if it ever does.

I would consider getting the eggs to the reptile store and letting him incubate them. But I wouldn’t really know what to do with them once they hatched. I am so damn fussy about the care of my dragons. I wouldn’t want to give any of thier babies up to people that I wasn’t sure were going to take 100% good care of it. I’m a total fuss budget. And I really don’t have the space for a full dragon family. lol.

It’s a shame you can’t breed them, Captive bred lizards are so much better for the hobby than CF or WC babies.

But if you can’t and she does lay eggs, you don’t HAVE to incubate them?? I didn’t incubate my Bearded Dragons’ 4th clutch (she’d already laid 3 clutches from 1 mating!)

I wouldn’t really be against it. I’d just never be able to give them up. Becuae I’d make people proove that they have the proper adult set up, before I let them buy a baby from me. .lol..

How many babies do they usually have anyway????

My aunts Beardies just had 18.

Yeah I know what you mean I was VERY picky, especially with the first 13.

Laurals first cluch was 15, 13 hatched
Second clutch was 18, 17 hatched
Her third clutch was 19, only incubated 15 (some were duff), and all 15 hatched ...
THAT is a lot of hungry little mouths to feed. Not bad considering we were trying to down size our reptile collection due me being pregnant at the time, and we needed the space!

I have no idea how many eggs a WD can lay? I didn’t think the clutches were as large as a beardies?
