But it will keep spreading up her tail, poor thing. Angus (RIP) had the same problem and he ended up dropping his tail and it was gone. I hope all is well... can you get pictures of it??? |

yeah the last couple of inches are hard and crispy, I can see where to cut so I won’t hurt her, you can see where the good part of the tail is and begins again. So what do you mean it’ll keep traveling up her tail, how do I stop it/ Is it diet or humidity? I’ll get a pick! Brian |

Here is an article on it Link I really really really don’t suggest you do the amputation yourself. Extremely dangerous, and not sterile. The only treatment is amputation and if its not amputated then the infection part will just keep spreading. Into her spine and cause HUGE issues. The only way to stop it is the amputation. But its caused by damage to the tail... either an injury, bad shed, etc. Read up on the link... it will help.... (it mentions Iguana but its the same medical condition and treatment/information stuff) |
