 Is it worth breeding dragons?

well since there are No Central Alberta Breeders For waterdragons, all Our petstores have to get them from either Edmonton or Calgary. Ive been pondering on The question, But am worried ill end up losing more money than I would make. Anyone else have Experiences with breeding and selling?

im fairly positive at least on your first batch of dragons you will be losing money since you will need an incubator, a lay box, and everything else you will need to care for the babies. personally i do not want to breed my dragons for the money i want to breed them to provide more captive bred dragons and give them to loving homes. it makes me so sad to see sickly wild caught babies in the pet store or at the reptile shows=(

You do realize that there hasn’t been a single WC bearded dragon in (except for smuggling) almost 30 years?
It against Australia’s law to export any native animal out of their country. Thus everything is cb now.
Every baby you see, is almost guaranteed to be CB, and if they’re sickly, it’s only because people breed them an sell them in the masses.
