i was told 2 years old, or around that .... Abe’s female WD is 16 or 18 inch’s (i forgot) ... and she is lying eggs ... so i guess that means she is old enough ... and i think that is under 2 hrs old ...

I think they said 2 yrs because then the female is larger and can handle the male doing his "thing" (being aggresive), and she can handle the eggs .... but i am not sure, just trying to remeber.

Yeah they become physically able 16-18 inches old, proven by Abe being gravid and also it says it on Tricia’s page

When they are old enough to breed, they will have peach colors under their front legs. If they are not breeding, first look to see if they are male and female or two of the same sex. If they are a male and a female, if they are not happy, they WON’T breed. If these don’t work, post another message.

It says in my new book that to be SAFE to breed the lizards should be at least 2 years old and 2 feet in total length, be of a good weight and state of health (especially the female)

Breeding a young female is not advised as health problems can occour.
This is why Killer and Nixie are not going to live together for at least another year ;o)

my female is i think gravid!?! i couldn’t get food for a couple of days so my male got skinny but my female stayed really fat. she is still fat. i pressed my finger under her tummy (gently) and i could see 2 lumps. then i felt around and could only feel 2. i am not ready to have them breed. she is 19" wat should i do!?! i i don’t want her to become egg bound. i don’t have there other cage built. what do i need to get her prepared for her to lay her eggs?

How big of a nest does she need and how deep? Help?

WD pro...this post is 2 years old. No need to bring up old post. The poster has actually already bred her dragons and had babies...just an FYI
