Here is one for you! I have a Black phase Horridus {Timber} that was not eating well so I gave it a toad while I had a few out for my hognose. I actually force fed it and Within hrs the Timber was dead!! Now, I knew the cane toad killed snakes but had no idea that the American toad would do the same. Very bad mistake on my part by not reading up before mudering the rattler. Very interesting though..

Wow Jeff. Sorry to hear that. Maybe the timber was ill and that was the reason he wasn’t eating well. Did you research to confirm what you expect was the cause of his demise? It might not of had anything to do with the toad. That sux regardless.

Here is one for you! Yes, I have been reading articles for the last hour and it says the American toad and others have some of the strongest toxins on the planet. Only the Southern and Northern Pacific ratters can eat them. Oopps!

So sorry. Don’t beat yourself up about it though. What is done is done and all we can do is learn from it. That’s the cool thing about the past. There is nothing to do but accept it. Unchangeable.. That is also the thing that sux about it. There is nothing to do but accept it... Ya know? Everglades huh? Sounds like a blast! I have never been to the everglades. Really cool ecological area though. Walking catfish?? What are they? Do they actually walk?

Here is one for you! Oh, that is truly a major bummer, Jeff.... Well, hopefully, if nothing else, someone else will read and learn from it before trying the same. So sorry, though!

Here is one for you! They walk all over the place and up to 24 hrs out of the water and will walk from lake to lake. ReptiLover, Collin and I found a bunch of them a few yrs ago and they would climb out of the big cup we kept them in. We changed our trip to the 23rd of Oct..
