Looking to gain hot snake experience I am a zoo science major with snake experience. I am wanting to gain some insight into handling hot snakes. If there is any owners in northeast ohio that would be willing to show me the ropes I would greatly appreciate it. My career goal is to become a herp keeper, so any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Looking to gain hot snake experience Haha, you know Chris?!! We only have the copperhead, timber, and Massasauga as of last spring. I will have to ask him this fall though when I am back at school, because I have been working in his serpentarium for 2 years now. Mabye he’ll be willing to show me the ropes.

Looking to gain hot snake experience lol, not only is Zoo Science a very rarely offered major, but when you said northeast Ohio I knew you were a Malone student. I’d say he would be your best bet if the University allows students to work with the hots. Make sure you keep calm with flight or flight situations...as he is going to test you before he makes you a candidate for hot keeping. Beware of people hiding under things : )
