No, I was referring to the permit to keep exotics which went on sale April 1st for $20 and the commercial permit for $60. Unless it’s been done away with in the past 2 months and since they still have it on the TPWD site, I’m assuming they haven’t, so I’d look into it. http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/faq/business/permits/nonindigenous_snakes/index.phtml To my knowledge, there is no permit needed to keep native snakes.....but there are many ordinances in many counties/cities. |

The 20 dollar permit you mentioned is just to own a "pet" exotic. Pet stores have to get a different kind of permit. To those who are asking, many owners/breeders trying to stay under the radar in Texas are not about to put their "buisness" on the forum, as we all know, big brother monitors this site, as he does others. |
