Let the people on T.V. handle the stupid behind-the-head stunts.

Hun... your mother would KILL you. Do NOT hold that snake in captivity... expose it to things that it wouldn’t be exposed to in the wild.. then release it. You can wipe out snake populations that way. If you want a pet... talk it over with your parents... get something more age appropriate...like a garter snake... a corn snake... 13 year olds have no business with a hot.

if you want a pretty cool snake get a retic but since you’re only 13 get a dwarf. They’re active and fun, plus you can hold them and I know every teenager wants a snake they can walk around with and show off.

You said it was a pit viper in your fist post... And why won’t you say the state? Your afraid of giving away too much info?

Grabbing a copperhead behind the head is one of the most stupid things to do. Im not trying to be mean but considering you re 13, you most likely dont have any real experience with hots. Copperheads most of the time wont bite if left there but seeing that you grabbed it....imagine if you slightly missed....I would say not try it again and perhaps use a stick to move it into a open area to identify it. But still, I understand how much fun it is to play with snakes too.....just be safe when you re doing it.
