Hey Guys !!

I am new to the Uro world and am thoroughly excited !! I got my Uro for free from a neighbor moving to california who did not want to take his new pet along for the ride. Anywho, i ended up with the little fella but it looks like he was not properly cared for. From what i have been told he was only fed chicory and endives all his life 3x a week, and it looks like his entire tail may have been rotted but has not been treated in months !!!! :(. I was also told he hasnt shed in over a year, possibly poor lighting? I have a photo of the guy but i cant upload on my iphone. Can any of you guys give suggestions? Do any of you know of a good uro animal hospital in Nj?

Thank you !! Really appreciate that. I found so many myself but i wanted to go somewhere where someone has had a good experience and not just some quickie pump and dump operation.

He is big. Right now i have him in a 36x21x18 size tank. Im looking around for a 72". Is is about a foot in lenght maybe 5-6" wide if i had to guess. Activity wise he seems normal. I noticed he jumps all i to his food bowl eats poops then goes to his rock lol

Your welcome and some lizards eat their poop so make sure you spot clean(whenever you see poop take it out) because they can get sick from that and you don’t wanna pay extra vet money lol their water monitor use to do that so I would gently push his face away and he quickly learned as he grew that’s that’s a no no he’s really smart to be a animal. I think lizards that eat veggies is harder to feed because their picky and get bored from eating certain things when their diet is limited unlike carnivores and insectivores.
