 Type of wood for enclosure

Can I use pine to make an enclosure for my URO’s?

While I prefer 3/4" cabinet grade plys (birch, oak) kiln dried, chemical free (untreated, formaldehyde free) pine that has been sealed should be fine.

How do you know if they are kiln dried and chemical free? I would be purchasing from Home Depot, Lowes, Rona or Home Hardware.

Do you seal the woods you mentioned? And what is the sealer called? How do I know it is safe for the lizards?

I have alot of sealers and stuff left from my build you can use if you are in Richmond hill Ontario area. I used formaldehyde free oak plywood and eco sealers for all the wood as well as the grout sealers. My name is Robert and my number is 6472216311 if interested.

I would avoid pine. look into AFM safecoat products. they are very good for use with high temps. As Vers mentioned birch, oak formaldehyde free would be a good choice. look into the core materials some are better than others
