Would he most likely enjoy it if I left the blinds up during the day? Or would he just long to be outside? |

Or would he just long to be outside? After a year, I’d say it’s a yes to the first question. To the second, my uro might be curious some days but I wouldn’t say it’s a longing at all. He sees and hears enough from inside the room and tank, to know what is going on outside. Some days he sees and hears stuff he doesn’t want to, so I guess the real answer to your question is to get to know what your uro’s experience is with the window, how large the window is and make adjustments if need be. My large window is about 6 x 6 ft with blinds and curtains. We open up the blinds and curtains in the morning. The window faces the west so my uro sees stronger sunlight after 12 noon. He’s also on the ground floor, so sometimes he gets to see vehicles pull up in the driveway, a neighbor, gardener, cable guy etc passing by his window. He’s curious about what goes on outside the window, but there are days when he gets scared. He does not like the Fedex truck. He does not like rain. He doesn’t mind the gardener and his power tools. My uro isn’t likely to wake up before 10-11am and when he bromates he tends to wake up closer to noon. The window faces the west and works with his morning schedule. In the afternoon, he tends to be really active before evening comes around. He glass dances often facing the window. His tank is close enough to the window that some days in summer, the sun before setting will shine some into his tank and I notice he doesn’t avoid the sunshine. |
