 Pale and sleeping a lot

One of my uro’s is really pale today. Yesterday she wasn’t as pale. Is she gonna shed?
Also my other uro sleeps so much. I didn’t see him much this week, coz he would still be sleeping when i went to work and already asleep when I got home. Today is the first time i saw him out and about all week. Is this normal?

They do slow down in the winter but dont just chalk it up to being normal. Make sure your husbandry is correct. Especially temps.
We see these exact same posts all year long but when it comes around to winter people just assume it’s because it’s getting cooler. There may be tons of other things wrong . Make sure of everything before thinking it’s because it’s winter.

Unless you want to put them into brumation why would you change their temps ? I may back their hours back a bit but I don’t change their temps. Why would you think they need lower temps in the winter ? They still need to digest their food don’t they ? Do you purposely want to slow them down and have them eat less ?

Their not in nature, we can never replicate nature,we can only do our best at keeping them fat and happy.

 Pale and sleeping a lot

Ok, I don’t think he’s sleeping a lot, I just get home too late. On the weekend I saw him go to bed around 5-5:15. So I don’t see him during the week anymore :(

My other one, she’s lazy and falls asleep anywhere, so I still see her.

But she is the one that goes pale sometimes. Her head and tail get pale and her spots get brighter and it seems like there are more spots. She looks really nice, but pale. Then it goes away in an hour or so. I’ve never seen the other one change colour. Why does she change colour?

They are sooooo cute!!!

About my pale one, she goes pale on her head and tail and her back is bright and really nice. But then she goes back to being dark sometimes in an hour or less.

I made a side-by-side pic of her where u see the colour change.
The pic on the left was take Oct.10 and the right was Oct.31. She looks fatter!

They are sooooo cute!

Simple things like basking can make them get lighter in colour. Or maybe due for a shed
