 To all Egyptian uro keepers

hi please could you post a picture of your uro and its enclosure, and if you could include dimensions that would be great !. it would be helpful in deciding weather i get one my self, but not only that i really enjoy seeing them and how different people create and style their enclosures, already seen obi carls and it was quite impressive

Egyptians are amazing. I had one I raised from a baby up to just about 2 feet long. Loads of personality ! I moved into a condo and have to give him away :( Wish I didn’t.
I kept him in a custom built 48x25x25 enclosure. It was fine for his size at that time. I was in the planning stages of building bigger when we ended up moving so it never happened.
He was in that enclosure from baby to 2 feet for almost 5 years. So if you plan to get one as long as you get a small one he will be fine in that enclosure for years. Just understand that if he gets too big you will have to build bigger. Mine was still growing at 5 years old but very very slowly.
Not all Egyptians will get to 3 feet.
A good size mali can reach around 2 feet !! I have held on in my hand that was every bit as big as my old Egyptian !
Don’t rule out other uro’s just because they dont get as big. They are all cool !

thats a nice set up mate the background looks cool, 5 years you say that gives me a little more confidence in keeping one in a 6ft-2ft-3ft, no wont rule out a mali think they are vary cool to , realy like some of the colours,

Heres a pic of an egyption I think he said was 15 years old. Wouldnt take that much bigger an enclosure to support him. He’s more bulk then length lol

nice pic, yea big strong boy isnt he lol, wot would you say he is just over 2 ft ?, was thinking of replacing a shelf/second floor in the current tank for a bigger one of 2ft-3ft to help provide more floor/living space. think it would be good if i could find a large Egyptian in a reptile shop, think seeing one in the flesh would help appreciate the size better
