Impulse pets i check craigs list everyday and am so saddened to see the increase of people trying to get rid of their uros. they buy them on impulse from a pet shop, and then they lose intrest in them. its probably best for the uro that they are trying to re-home it, but they had no buisness buying it in the first place! i have seen 4 listed in just my area in the past 2 months, up from zero in the past year. i want to take them all in but i dont have the room for them, and i dread to see them get passed from one unresponsible owner to the next. i did end up getting the first one i saw posted, but i had no idea so many more would be being posted. it really does break my heart because they are such wonderful little creatures and deserve so much better. i wouldn’t get rid of mine for anything in the world. so anyways, i just needed to vent a little and get that off my chest.
if i can figure out how, i will post a pic of clementine, my craigs list uro.

Impulse pets I agree with you, Breezie. In my area, there are atleast one Uro on Craigslist at all times. The most I’ve seen at one time was three(and that’s just in my county; I can’t imagine how many there are in the entire country, or world!), but it changes all the time. It upsets me, too, seeing all the defensless animals getting passed from home to home; enduring all that stress. It sickens me! I just wish people would realize they need to do tons of homework on the pet they want, before they get it. I’m glad to see there’s someone else that thinks the same way I do. (:
Congratulations on rescuing Clementine; I’m sure she appreciates you. =]

Impulse pets I totally agree... I see alot here on the WA craigslist, including the two babies I have up for adoption, but I won’t give them to just anyone, they must answer 20+ questions, have an enclosure set up and running for a week and I must be able to visit their home and see the enclosure. Of course, these strict things are keeping me from finding them a home. So for now, they’re chillin in a 100g tank with 4 hides, a MVB and a wonderful diet. I might just keep them and see if I can find some more stackable enclosures. :)
