He has white around one nostril! What’s wrong? 
I just noticed he has white around one of his nostrils, I read the post below about salt crystals? Is that what it is? He has only been on a veggie diet, endive, a little romain, small amounts of carrots 0r sweet potato ( don’t think that it would be a sodium issue). He did go potty today. I noted the person that wrote said that it was possibly normal? If something is wrong please let me know, and what I should be doing for him. I’m new with him just 6 days, I’m worrying myself to death about him. I just want to do everything right. I have called several vets and no one knows who deals with lizards. How can I find a vet for him? I want to take a stool sample in. Also, do I need to take him in for a vet check-up or just a stool sample? I hate to take him out and stress him if I don’t need to.

’All is ok" was about the white stuff. :) Check with a local herp society in your area for a good reptile vet. Check this forum for vet references and other forums such as anapsid.org.
Otherwise, call around to different vets and ask questions to see if you can find someone who sees quite a few reptiles. If you can find someone with reptile AND uromastyx experience- better yet. Yes, you should be able to take in a fecal sample without an office visit. You want to provide the freshest sample possible. Keep it moist by storing it in plastic wrap or a sealed plastic bag.

Oh thank you, I was so worried, I will go to that site right now and the other one you noted. I am spending more time on the computer for this guy and with him then I am with my children the past week. Again, it’s like when I had my first child. I’m a animal lover and I should of known I’ld be like this. I’m so attached to him, he really is precious. Like a baby, I wish he could talk and tell me what he needs and wants.
