 FINALLY!!!

I got two little uros from deer fern. They are ADORABLE! and so much personality. They come from the oceallated gene pool and they have a LOT of yellow. Male and female. Anyway.....I need name ideas. Something african please.

Is this a slow forum? Anyway they are in a 40 breeder(Doug recommended it for a pair) with paper towels as substrate until they get older then to millet or sand they go(depends how comfortable I am with there eating habits) on. Um....no water bowl and a basking temp of 115 with the rest of the tank in the 90s and 80s on cool end. Feeding mixes of escarole, endive, and romaine. Some rocks for climbing practice and a log/hide for basking.

Sound good?

A bit on the small side. Generally Uro’s should be kept in a 48"x24" enclosure (height doesnt matter much, as long as it keeps the Uro in and proper temps)

Your basking temp is a bit low, should be more of 120-130F, but if they are hatchlings, they may require a slightly lower temp (such as what you have) but I do not know for sure, wait for others on that one.

Also, romaine doesnt do much but hydrate Uro’s, its not almost no nutritional value. Escarole, endive, chickory is great to use, along with soaked lentils, shredded carrots, bok choy and many other things as rotational treats.
