Food items I’m a bit scared to ask this, but are sprouts okay to feed? Is there a specific type of sprout better than others? I couldn’t help but look at the array of nutritious sprouts at my local famer’s market and wonder if my Steve can enjoy them with me.
Also, are berries such as strawberries and fruits such as peaches okay once in a while?
Lastly, should I be peeling the squashes before I grate them for him to eat?

Food items Mangos? nice. I’ve discorvered that Steve is helping me eat better as well...I’m having more salads as a result of him needing veggies every day. In order to make sure the veggies don’t spoil in the fridge, i’ve been having endive and escrole salads....I refuse to eat collard greens though....ick!
He seems to like blueberries...he nudges them around first before eating them.

Food items Collard greens aren’t the best for him either (I wouldn’t be eating them either!! UGH!!). Mine also like blueberries as a treat. Stay away from banana’s and other sticky fruit. They walk through everything! Lets see...green and red peppers, dandelion flowers & greens, edible flowers, all kinds of squash, sprouts shouldn’t hurt, but not sure if they have a lot of nutrients. Try cantaloupe, mango, lintels, a few peas, mine like green beans every once in a while, and El Toro feeds Lima’s. Oh, grapes cut are good for hydrating. I understand you can feed kale, mustard greens and collard greens on occation, I forget what they have too much of, I am sure someone will remember! Doublemom had a really great list of things you can feed. She could tell you what the ratio’s were for everything. Great information!!

Food items He’s on endive and escrole every day...he likes this 10 bean soup mix that I got from the farmer’s market...I hear him crunching on his beans.
I’ll have to try green and red peppers. And I’ll try some non sticky fruit as well.
He’s not interested in his greens as much as the carrots and beans. A little squash too. I think he’s still adjusting to his new place. He’s kinda wandering around and licking everything. He really likes his finch mix as well.
He’s plenty hydrated...very white droppings.
Thanks =)

Food items Carrots and beans are okay as treats but I would only feed them about once a week. Carrots are sweet and mostly sugar . You don’t want to feed beans to often since they contain protien. Make sure you do not feed the large kidney beans they are toxic .
