Lentils? They do not have to be soaked . Some Uros actually prefer hard lentils . But I would provide moist fresh greens at the same time . Soaking lentils over night softens them just a little and adds some moisture to them to hydrate your Uro . That is how I prepare mine .

Lentils? Most people here soak them overnight including myself. I used to feed them dry to my egyption uro a long time ago and he would just crunch them away !!!
Although I soak them overnight now, they are usually pretty dry by the time my guys eat them.
They have no problem crunching, cracking and popping them !!
I wouldnt feed dry to a young uro though .

Lentils? My guys love their lentils soaked. Since mine are not full grown yet, they have a hard time crunching the dry ones. I soak the lentils overnight, and they go crazy over them! And ii’m glad they loke them cuz its a good way to fatten them up and make sure they are hydrated...

Lentils? Just warning, lentils are a high protein legume, they’re second next to soy beans. They’re great in small doses or as a once a week treat but too much can cause issues. They’re also extremely high in iron content. They pack a lot of nutrition in a small package.

Lentils? I just recently purchased a small portion of lentils, and boy did they love it! I soaked them overnight and the next day, i held one up to my juvenile’s mouth, and she tentatively looked at it, and then took it into her mouth. She then dashed to her food bowl after I filled it with her normal greens and a few lentils and picked them all out, one by one. Of course, I now know to give it to her after her greens are finished haha.

Lentils? Make sure that you do not feed any red kidney beans , they can be toxic.
