Shedding? How often should uros shed? Why do they shed ... because they have grown bigger? Jim has not shed since we got him. I think it has been about six months. Is that normal?

Shedding? Yes they shed because they have out grown the older skin. Each uro is different . Young Uro’s sheds more often than older Uro’s . It also depends on their health and living conditions . If he is eating well, active ,having normal bowel movements ,and looks good I would not worry . Uros grow rather slowly compared to snakes and other lizards .

Shedding? How long is Jim? I know my 2 year old sheds probably three times a year, maybe four. Sahel has been shedding very often lately, twice in the last four months. He is an adult, and doesn’t usually shed quite that often. He is NOT at his total length yet. He’s only like 11 inches. Maybe he is having a growth spurt! If Jim is getting everything he needs, he will shed. If he’s an adult, it should probably be soon.

Shedding? I think that Jims head shed, but that was all. He is about 9 inches long. He is active and eating and having his bowel movements regularily. He seems to be fine... I am going to post some pictures if I can in a few days to make sure that he is an adequate weight.
