That looks like a wild caught turtle I have... I thought he was a snapper. Now I think he’s a mud turtle!

It could be! You should search mud turtles that are in your area and look at your shells. Although I would not normally keep a wild caught turtle, this one was given to me when he was full grown after being kept in one of those plastic bins with the the little tree and he doesn’t really have any skills... he’s a terrible swimmer. But he’s so sweet and fat and I love him :D

Aww thanks. He really is my baby, and he’s not shy at all. He recognizes my voice and swims up on his ramp to beg for food when he heres me :)
