 Green tree frog

I just purchased a green tree frog and it keeps going under the coconut bedding? Does anyone know why it is doing this and will it be ok.

It may be seeking out the moisture in the substrate. Do you have a water bowl for it to soak in? If not, please add one -- this is a very important requirement for them, it’s how they get their water.

Yes, the frog needs a source for water such as a shallow dish. Don’t be surprised if you see the frog on the outside edge of the dish with its front legs in the dish---the water level in the dish will get lower as the coconut bedding around him gets wetter----he’s pulling the water through his body like this. Don’t use tap water or distilled water but rather spring water. I find it in gallon jugs at the Walmart.
