 Thinking of a turtle?

Hi, i have been wanting a tortoise for a long time, and I was wondering what kind to get. I want a tortoise with some size to it but not a sulcata. I was wondering maybe a red footed of a yellow footed tortoise, any advice. The tortoise would live outside in a pen for the summer months, but in the winter would be brought inside. Just some advice on what type of tortoise i should get would be great, Thanks.

On the title I meant to say "Tortoise" instead of turtle, sorry.

Russian’s or Sulcata’s are good for starters :) Or if you want a water turtle get a Red Eared Slider(very cheap) or a Razorback musk.

Mediterranean tortoise species are best for starting out, in all fairness you could keep any tortoise, turtle, dog, cat, or animal in general providing you can keep up with them and provide adequate care whilst meeting all their individual needs.

Med species list:

Hermanns
Horsfields
Greeks
Iberas
Marginated

Other species list:
Pancakes
Redfoots
Yellowfoots
Sulcata
Leopard
Sir Lanken Star
Burmese Star
Brown Burmese Mountain
