I have 4 red-spotted toads(1 teenage female, and 3 male juveniles)and I have been feeding them crickets, flies, and worms. I want to know what their lifespan is and how make sure the gender is right.

Toads have fairly long lifespans -- up to 20 years in some cases but the smaller types often are not as long lived. Mature males vocalize and usually have darker throats; the females are silent and have lighter throats. Also females generally grow a little larger because when they are in the mating embrace, the male usually ride piggyback on top of the female for a while.

Technically fire belly toads live around 12 to 15 max. IF well taken care of.
