Just survived the hurricane katrina and wut the heck is this 
hurricane katrina just came by took down trees, the roof for the gas station.... OH YEA AND FREAKING LIGHTS!!!!!!! so my tegu went on 2 days without eating and no hot light to help him digest. now finally last night i got my lights back and today i see this big brown (LOOKS LIKE CAT POOP) and if u look closely u can see crickets eyes, wings and the main big thing there THE FUZZIE. u can see it if u look very cloesly i can see the fuzzys head and tail and a lil bit of its body the body is covered wit brown and crickets body pieces. WUT IS THAT BROWN CAT POOP LOOKING THING!?!?!?!?!?!?

Hey,,,,, It sounds like undigested food. Maybe because there was no hesat source, he did nt get a chance to properly digest his food. So it was probably making his tummy hurt and so he threw it up. Yep that what it sounds like. YO 50....... I am glad that you are ok. Sounds like a pretty scary storm.

thnx!! yea i wasnt no ordinary storm it was taking down trees. big ones wit the dirt and rocks and anything that was under it. and i have sumthing to remember it THE BIGGEST TREE IN MY BACKYARD IN MY NEIHBORS BACkYARD. thank god it left now its change catergorys. anyways him throwing up all that food is bad for him or wut?
cuz that fuzzy i fed him last week.. huh and he hasnt digested it yet.

LAST WEEK.... Dammmmm.... I think he hsould of been digested the food from last week. Maybe your feeding too much at one time. What I should be asking you is how much do you feed and how many times a week are you doing it. Last I remember , you should feed growing tegus everyday. I would give him alittle bit of food every day insted of one large meal once or twice a week. If you are not doing this then you should start ASAP. Also check your heat source. Maybe it s not hot enough in your enclosure. It sounds like you dont know the exact temp in your enclosure You should get a digital thermometer. Thre not expensive. You can get one at reptilesupply.com for about ten bucks including shipping. I hope this helps. Listen Stay safe and I ll talk to you soon . I have to get ready for my trip ..... See Ya.......

Thnx, GOOD LUCK WITH THE TRIP!!!! yea about the temp i think its hot enough i put my hand on the main place he is and its on top the x large wood that he can go under but he is mostly ontop of it. i felt it its burnin!!
well the fuzzie i fed him once and that was a week after i saw this stuff. im starting to see more of it all over the place i think its poop maybe he is getting bigger i really dont no. but he was super fat like 4 - 5 dayz after the fuzzie he ate and i was glad he looks healthy and he moved alot but now after all this im seeing in the tank he has gotten MUCH SKINNIER. he looks a lil bit longer but he is SUPER SKINNY now and i think its unhealthy to b lookin like a long toothpick. i want to solve this problem so if u have any solutions to fixing this plz tell me i will love to see my tegu nice a fat now. THNX 4 COMING!!!

after i fed him the fuzzie i started feeding him mininum 6, max til he is done eating crickets. and all the crickets i fed him since i fed him the fuzzie and til i saw this thing all the crickets i fed him i put REPTI-VITE the white powder.
COULD THAT B A PROBLEM ? just askin b cuz here on the back it says new reptile every feeding and for adults every other feeding and my tegu aint no baby he is a juvinile, hard biting when he is pissed, 18 inch tegu not a baby. i cant find it wer it said it but i remember reading that about that reptivite it said babys every feeding and anything over babies it said every other feeding.

just got back from florida. Listen man. I would take him to the vet ASAP. And as far as the temperture goes. Have you noticed him under his basking light at all. It sounds like its maybe too hot under there. I would soak him in some water if I were you. Just in case he is dehydrated. AT least for 15 to 20 minutes. 50 YOU SERIOUSLY NEED TO GET YOURSELF A THERMOMETER. Your lizard will die if he does nt get the proper temps for digestion. Can you answer me one question. Why did you get a tegu? ( DONT GET DEFENSIVE.) Plz reply

to ur question i really wanted a pet for myself and a lil friend of mine in the house so then i went to snakesatsunset wit my friend he has 3 beared dragons and he was gonna get crickets so i went and i saw a ball python and my favorite animal in the world so i was staring at it for like l mins until my friend showed me this yellow monitor looked really cool then i told my mom about it and she said if it cost 50 or less she will get it for me. then we went and asked the guy how much it was i wasnt there wit mom when she asked i was looking at this tegu i got i was just looking at him for sum reason i didnt even no wut it was i was just looking at him and he was nice 2 me in the store he ate a cricket on the front desk for me and he jumped out onto my shirt and stayed and so i got him there. and for the temperture im gonna get 2 little circle ones wit a frog and sun and a moon one says hydrometer SUMTHING SIMIALAR LIKE THAT and i forgot wut the sun one said IF U NO WUT THEY NEED TO SAY PLZ TELL ME PLZ!!!!!!!he is starting to eat a lil bit now he ate 5 crickets 2 days ago yesterday i put 5 mealworms and he didnt eat any i dont think he likes mealworms and dont say then give him crickets my cats tipped over the lil thing i crikcets in they are all gone.AND I SOAK HIM EVERYDAY everytime i soak him when he is laying down he gets up starts drinking and wheen im done is energiezed and running everywhere. and i havent seen him on his heat spot for a while maybe it is to hot.well i answer ur question wut do u think?

well those temperture gauges are not that great but its a start. . Try to lower the tempature under the heat lamp. What I would do FOR NOW (until you get those thermometers) Stick your hand on the same spot your lizard sits to get warm and lower the temperature until you can actually leave your hand for about 15 minutes or so. If you cannot take the heat then continue to lower the temp until you can take it and not get burned. This will be the safest way to do it .. Remeber that in order to lower your temperture you have to change your bulb. Get a slightly smaller bulb depending on how hot your current bulb is. Whats the wattage on your bulb . How long do you leave the bulb on during the day. I am glad that you want to make the effort to change whatever is wrong with your enclosure but you have to act fast. The better your lizard does now when he is young the better he will do as an adult. Remember healthy today means a long and happy life for many years to come. Post a picture of your tegu so that I can see what he looks like. You see 50 we all have to care alot about our animals because they count on us to survive. Can you imagine if we were the ones in cages and enclosures. And we depended on our lizards to stay alive. What it would be like to be sick and your lizard could nt understand your behavior or your necesities. It would suck not to be able to have control of your life or the things you love to eat and need to eat to stay alive. Can you imagine how depress you would be if your lizard neglected to read the information on how to care for human beings. Eventually you would become so depressed and sick that you would die a slow and painful death. And that everyday that passed you would pray so that your lizard would get a clue as to how to care for humans. Meanwhile you are in agonizing pain and slowly but surely dying. only because your lizard did nt take the time to properly prepare for you. Remeber this is only to show you a different view of things. Not to say or accuse you of anything. We have to get on the right track. For the sake of our animals. Continue to make your husbandry skills that much better and believe me when I tell you that 5 to 10 years down the road . You are going to look back and smile at the fact that you stil have your lizard and he is happy and healthy.
Listen where do you live. Are you in the states. If so what State do you live in. Take care and remember asking for help and information is great but to actually use the information that you are given is AWESOME and benefits your tegu. By the way thx for asking about my trip. I will post pics of the animals that I saw while I was there. I have to go now . I have to pick up raphael ( my tegu) from the animal hospital . He s been there alll week and I cant wait till he is back home. LATERZ

i found out now truly he doesnt like mealworms for sum reason. i had 5 mealworms all day and none have been eaten then around 7 i gave him sum turkey all i have to give for now till petsmart gets crickets.HE ATE IT ON THE DOT RITE OUTTA MY HANDS!!! he ate alot of it so im geussing he is ok now and i shouldnt serve him mealworms anymore ill just keep them in there so if he gets hungary he mite take a bite at it and like it but if not ill just feed him wut i have. THNX FOR THE HELP foulfredy!!!!
