Housing Question??? I currently own an Argentine Black and White Tegu, he/she is in very good health and easy to handle. My question is can an Argentine b/w tegu be housed with an Argentine red tegu if they are kept in the proper sized enclosure? Also if the two can be housed together do I need to move them in together before a certain size or age? I am sorry if this question has been asked before, but I searched the forum for a long time and have not seen this question before. I have seen recent posts of a pair of b/w tegus housed with a pair or reds, but can just one pair be kept together? Also in closing would the pair have to consist of one male and one female, since this would make things more difficult it would be important to know.

Housing Question??? Yeah you can house them together. Just make sure they are about the same size and make sure you monitor them closely when you put them in together. You need the right sized cage and just make sure you clean the substrate and move the tank around or put them in a new tank since tegus are territorial and it needs to be a neutral territory. Also make sure you feed them seperately.

Housing Question??? I house my B/W with my blues.... I offer their food on a plate so I can move them around if need be, and if I am feeding rodents or day old chicks I just move really fast to make sure all 3 chick food in front of them before they reach each other.
All of mine were first introduced as adults and the biggest was placed in last to avoid some aggression issues since he could smell the others in the house first.
