 My red/blue hybrid "Jackson"

Just wanted to introduce my new tegu, Jackson. I was given this little guy from one of my dog training clients as they no longer wanted him. They purchased him as a red/blue hybrid male. He’s approximately 7-8 mos old and really a neat little guy. He’s in a custom enclosure that is approx. 4’ x 1.5’ and 2.5’ - he’ll be moved up to a larger one as he gets bigger. I’m in S. FL as well, so he will probably get a nice size outdoor enclosure as well, weather permitting!

On to the pics!










As you can see, he was not as interested in the photo shoot as I was, and I am no expert photographer, so hopefully these will do!

I got him from one of my dog training clients (I’m a dog trainer) - the 10 yr old boy become bored of him. So we exchanged training sessions for the tegu. They paid $400 for him at a local reptile specialty store a couple months ago.

Um, first I’m pretty attached to this little guy. Second, I’m not sending my animal to someone I don’t know. Third, it’s INCREDIBLY rude to try to trafe off your animal on someone else who clearly has zero intentions of getting rid of their tegu. Fourth, how on earth does trading red/blue hybrid for a normal B&W sound like a fair trade?
