Ameiva are essentially cousins to the Tegus. Although I’ve never come across a Blue and Yellow Spotted Ameiva, I did have a Green Ameiva for a while. Characteristics of all Ameivas is that they are skittish in nature and are hardy.. they tend to settle down somewhat with age and with regular interaction (not so much as handling but, rather regular feeding times, regular light cycles, etc.) Other than that, their general characterics mirror those of tegus except for the skittishness.

skittish yes,hardy not so much.
They all like to run and dig (big cage,deep substrate)
