 Hibernating

Umm I only keep B/W tegus so I only research them. They need to hibernate to breed. Or atleast thats the theory. They grow too fast if they miss their first hibernation and are unable to breed after. Females develop eggs before hibernation and keep them until after to wait for males. If they dont hibernate, then they dont breed. But remember in the wild, they hibernate every year. And as a good keeper you should allow them to. But i hear if you keep the heat up high they wont hibernate. Goodluck
Hmm why does it seem like Im the only one to reply on this forum? lol
