 Substrate?

Just a quick Question. I was wondering if I can use eco-earth for swifts, it is coconut fiber. I am currently using reptile bark and want to switch because I have mountain horned dragons and they use the eco earth. So it is just easier and cheaper if they can use the same type of substrate. If anyone can tell me that would be wonderful.

Here is a pic of my setup

I use echo earth for my swifts, never had a problem.
But they dont burrow in it either, heard some do.

What is it on the back of your tank, and where did you get it ??

Ya, if I have reptile bark they burrow in it. But I hope they won’t mind if I switch.
On the back of the tank is a rock wall that I bought at the pet store, it is made of styrofoam. But I no longer have it in there, the crickets were hiding behind it and when I went to clean out their tank the smell from the crickets was foul. There was a collection of live and dead crickets and lots of poop. I was gross, so we threw it out. But they did love it, it’s just that you would have to buy a new one every month so it wouldn’t smell really bad.

To bad you had to get rid of the rock wall.
Do you think that maybe you could use some kind sealent sp??
on it to seal it against the back glass ??
I know that would pretty much mean it would be there forever, but at least the
crickets couldnt get back there.

I replaced the echo earth in their tank, oh gees that was smelly :)
and that was just from them.
But i fixed them :) I put a small container of echo earth right where they usually poop
now its somewhat contained.
So now i dont have to clean all the dirt out at one time.
I dont know if its actually going to work, just been a few weeks since i did that.

Ps
Im used to taking care of a water dragon they are pretty much
potty trained :)
they only use their water dish, i know this is gross
but i do change her water several times a day.

I use the coco fiber all the time for mine. They borrow in it and so do their kids.
