 Uncertain of the species.

This is my new swift. My friend reccently visited missouri and he captured one of them and gave it to me. im not sure what kind it is but i think it is a female eastern fence swift.

This is its new home, its nothing like its last one but it is a 10 gal aquarium with bed a beast and moss some rocks and a piece of nice driftwood. tell em what you think possible improvements.

Yes but it just messes up the babies (cross breeding)

Im a fence and spiny breeder and have accidentally done this before. The babies were acward and had a hard time

ok thanks, i have a few lizards and i thought they were all just western fence lizards (blue bellies) but then i did some research and i guess one of them is a spiny he is really stocky and fat, and then i see a bunch of other people calling them swifts.

Your Lizard is gorgeous whatever species you have decided on :) I have to say I have a desert Spiny and for days we thought she was a swift. The guy at the pet shop said she was a collard swift, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm ok :) But her scales and things make her look like a swift. Eventually I took a close up of her and took it to another pet shop. There they told me she was a desert spiny. Unfortunately I cant get hold of any books on her and most are about them in the wild so we have to use our judgement. She is doing well though. Hope you are enjoying your lizard, and like I said he is gorgeous :)

Well, to me it looks like an Eastern Fence Lizard. Actually, I have 2. If you have any care related questions, I could answer them for you.
