Come on Sceloporus people. Wake up the forum!

Anybody working with fence/spiny/blue-bellies? This is a very neglected group. Let’s compare notes. I think I developed a really good cage design. I will try it out on a few different species this year and see how it works. I’m hoping on having breeding successes by this time next year.

I’m pretty sure most people aren’t aware this forum exists...

Come on Sceloporus people. Wake up the forum!

Hi, just found this forum. I have a 100 gallon habitat with 2 Texas spiny lizard, 2 gray tree frogs, 1 house gecko, 2 Taylor’s ground snakes. Our cat brought us most of these and after helping them recover, I decided to keep them instead of releasing them to the inevitable. Habitat has: lighting on one side of tank (turned off at night so gecko and frogs can come out); long piece of bark to climb on (lizards and one frog spend alot of time here); smaller branches for other guys; a cave; 2 small shallow water bowls (frogs like to sit in the h2o); sand substrate on one side and then entire bottom of tank covered in cypress substrate. Lizards are really cute when they bury themselves and only have head poking out.
If anyone knows where I could purchase a female spiny lizard, I would like to buy one so I can breed them. Thanks.

Yeah, mixing species is not a good idea they have different parasite levels. Plus the toxins in the tree frog’s skin can harm your other animals.
