I higly doubt a minor loss of color is going to mean its automaticaly going to die.

Well, hope your guy is doing better without his tail. Mine has done a dark brown color with white spots all over. Back to the droopy eyes again but he is eating. Not acting happy at all though.

He may be getting ready to shed, my males belly turns gray right before each shed. Donít know why! But he does look a little tubby. I donít think that his tail should be that fat, when lizards tails get fat it usually means that they are over weight and over fed. How much do you feed him?

That is just my thought :)

i know that they need extremely high humidity levels or they can start to have really bad shedding problems. so if it doesnít clear up in about a week i would start soaking him in warm water 10 minutes at a time twice a day to help aid in shedding. if it still continues or if he starts acting different take him to a vet.

Heís probably shedding mine take couples weeks to shed. When a reptile shed itís important not to touch it because you can really hurt him. They also sometime stop eating and acting like they are sic but heís probably not.keep a hi level of humidity to help him shed well. For the one who said his lizard die after changing color itís probably because he had not enough humidity and he die in his old skin because he were too tingh in it.

Heís not going to die, Iím 100% sure! Heís just trying to find a mate. Males sometimes do that to attract a mate. Trust me, when I had a boy swift, he use to do that all the time in front of my female. Sadly, he died of eternal bleeding though.
