 King Snake FREE to good home

We need to find a good home for our old king snake, Gaia (or Juliet, depending on which of us you ask :D). She’s a probed female, banded, chocolate/white CA king. My boss, a herp vet, guesstimated her at 10+ years old. We adopted her from a pet store earlier this year, but just don’t have the time (or patience, sadly) to give her the attention she needs. She’s aggressive (musking aggressive, not striking aggressive), and needs someone to give her more love than we can currently manage. She’s too old to breed, and has some scars (possibly from wildlife or pets). Also, she is VERY good at escaping, so a secure enclosure is important.

I thought it’d be better to post this here than craigsist, since I think you all will have a better understanding for her.

She is FREE to whoever can give her a safe and loving home for the remainder of her life (i.e. a home WITHOUT 3 cats waiting to pounce the second she figures how to ninja her way out of yet ANOTHER enclosure XD) We live near Sacramento, CA, but I’d be willing to drive several hours to ensure she gets to a good home.

i care for my snakes very well. theyre all i ever think about. i take care of them always. change their enclosures every week. hold em like 5 times a day, feed them once a week and never say bad things about em. id give her a great home since she is old and becauSE she is an animal. ill be happy to take her. ((i have a corn snake, im getting 3 ribbons and im getting a ball python)). and i wont breed her since she is too old to. (:

lol that would be one LONG roadtrip!

I really appreciate your interest in her, but I just can’t ship her cross-country. I wouldn’t feel safe doing it (not to mention I’d feel sorry for the poor UPS people should she escape!).

I’m still hoping to find someone for her that’s closer to home.

Well what did the vet say was wrong with the snake? Which area vet did you take it to, there are only a handful that take exotics? Oh, and you have to be 13 to be on this site without parental consent.
