 Mouse care

I have 2 small mice I have them in a long sterilite container with ventilation holes...they have a lot of room and places to hide. My rodent experience level is low as I only had 3 rabbits years ago. What can they eat? They don’t want the pet food and one ate a little cheese.

They really need a varied diet. Store bought mixes are okay, but other things need to be added to that. Cheese really isn’t the best for them, especially not as a staple food. A good quality dog food (none with red dyes) can be mixed in as well. Fresh veggies are also a good idea. Mine like carrots. Another thing that mine also love is live mealworms. I give those once in a while as a snack.

I gave my mice rodent block and hamster food as well as none sugar cereals. I have a very healthy stock of mice and rats at that time.
