Asaya View Profile	Shedding Question I have two blue-tailed skinks. I understand they will change coloration as they mature and have read where they should really be referred to as broad headed skinks. Not sure if this is correct. Anyway, they smaller of the two, Rain, started to shed over the weekend. It almost looked like she was developing blisters on her back, but I quickly realized she was just shedding. It took a few days for all the skin to come off. During that time, she hide under the moist moss or even burrowed into the substrate and has been much less active. She’s just been sleeping a lot when she does come out. Then, about two days ago, her back side started to shed, just above the hind legs and down to the end of the tail. She’s still hiding and sleeping a lot. Is it normal for skinks to shed so slowly? And with her sleeping so much, it makes me a little worried she may be sick. I’m new to skinks, so any advice/feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
